An item that may be of interest to instructors and flight schools is the progress on the Airman Testing Standards Recommendations.  The Committee Recommendation Report was issued late last year and is moving to NPRM status.  A link is at:

The value is to note the thinking and evolution.  While it is a lengthy document, the ideas on better connection of knowledge test to current procedures and references, reformat of PTS and including the risk management aspects are important for us to know.

Now is the time to either comment on the docket when published or work through our professional organizations on the new standards.

Some of the presented parts of the standards, while not changes, may inform us on emphasis and possibilities for scenarios.
